The Nike Bermuda and the Nike Challenger were developed during the same period. Both Nike shoes can be described as Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?â??prototypes Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?â??for future generation of Nike shoes!
The upper was a complex combination of: mesh, suede and nylon...Mesh is breathable but heavy and not that flexible.
Second is the Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?â??variable width systemÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?Â, where shoe lace holes were positioned in a zigzag so that wearers could tighten or loosen it any way they liked!
Both the Nike Challenger and the Nike Bermuda went through trial and error to achieve the design for the mesh part...
It is a proof that other companies have not produced shoes of this kind at that time!
