The Spiridon was the orginial Spiridon racing shoe which came out in 1984.
Then the Nike spiridon gold, feature in this section, replaced the Spiridon in 1985 or 1986.
There was never a womens version on those shoes, but the shoe went down to a 4 or 5 in men sizes.
The Spiridon Gold was inspired by Carlos Lopes who wore protoypes of the Spiridon during his Gold Medal run inthe 1984 Olympic Marathon.
Eventually the Sriridon Gold got replaced by the duellist in 1988
