Nike Terra TC 1981

In 1981, Nike released a model called TERRA TC, a very lite, cushy, comfortable, hard wearing and fast running shoe!

The midsole of the TERRA TC was made with a special and lite Material called "Phylon". The birth of the "Phylon" midsole came from a childs bath toy made by Mattel - known as Softuff.. It was the key to this exceptionally versatile shoe.

With its snug, curved shape, the Terra TC was designed for faster-paced running, providing excellent cushioning in the forefoot strikers. Actually, thanks to their superior cushioning, the shoe was even preferable on longer distances. The Nike TERRA TC has been in production from 1981 to 1984.

For many pro runners from the recent years, the TERRA TC was by far the best running shoe Nike ever made.
